Jaguar Land Rover has recently issued a recall of approximately 41,000 SUVs due to a passenger side airbag system defect.
Which Land Rover models are affected by the recall?
2010-2015 LR2 and 2012-2013 Range Rover Evoque models.
What causes the passenger side airbag defect?
The airbag system may fail to recognize a person is sitting in the passenger side, and may send the wrong signal to shut down the airbag system. This can result in a failure of the passenger airbag deploying in the event of a crash.
Are there any known accidents attributed to the defect?
At this time, Jaguar Land Rover is not aware of any accidents or injuries due to the related problem.
What do I do if my car is one of those affected?
