Jaguar Land Rover announced a recall of about 3,912 Range Rover SUVs due to deployment problems with the front seat side airbag.

Which Land Rover models are affected by the recall?

Model year 2013-2014 Range Rover sport utility vehicles.

What causes the potential airbag deployment problem?

A connector in the airbag system may become disconnected due to insufficient clearance, causing malfunctions in the deployment of frontal airbags in the event of an accident. This can increase the risk of injury to the seat occupant.

Are there any known accidents attributed to the defect?

At this time, Land Rover is not aware of any accidents or injuries due to the related problems.

What do I do if my Land Rover is one of those affected?

Jaguar Land Rover will be notifying all owners affected by the recall starting January 17, 2014. The area around the connector will be adjusted and modified to prevent it from being disconnected at no cost, by Jaguar Land Rover.
