Jaguar Land Rover North America has announced a recall of about 65,000 SUVs due to a door latch problem, which may result in the door opening while being driven.

Which Land Rover models are affected by the recalls?

2013 to 2016 Range Rover models, and 2014-2016 Range Rover Sport models.

What causes the door latch problem?

A software glitch in the keyless entry system attributes to the door latch problem.

Are there any known accidents attributed to the defect?

At this time, no known accidents have been reported by Jaguar Land Rover.

What do I do if my car is one of those affected?

Jaguar Land Rover will be notifying all owners affected by the recall starting August 7, 2015. The keyless entry software will be updated free of charge.
