Jaguar Land Rover has recently issued a recall of approximately 5,238 2014 Range Rover SUVs due to a turn signal indicator problem.
Which Land Rover models are affected by the recall?
2014 Range Rovers built from May 7, 2013 to October 10, 2013.
What causes the malfunctioning turn single indicator?
The problematic turn signal may not flash or click at a double rate to tell the drive of a front turn signal malfunction. Without this warning from the turn signal, the drive wouldn’t be aware that it is malfunctioning thus making other drives unaware that the vehicle is turning, which can result in a crash.
Are there any known accidents attributed to the defect?
At this time, Jaguar Land Rover is not aware of any accidents or injuries due to the related problem.
What do I do if my car is one of those affected?
Jaguar Land Rover will be notifying all owners affected by the recall on May 27, 2014. Vehicle software will be updated, free of charge.
